Colorful, Mandala Theme Meditation Pillow
Have you ever asked yourself who you are?
Were you majorly influenced by parents, teachers, and people you associated with throughout life? It is amazing how one cryptic comment can change the course of our thinking. We live in a world where proof is always desirable regarding questions about our origins and whether there is an actual god. Conspiracy theories are super-popular and one has to consider there is no smoke without fire so why are we quick to denounce the existence of a higher source, due to lack of proof? Perhaps our busy lives take precedence in a world where sensational news about climate change, terrorism, pandemics, and the rising cost of living, invades our peace. The world is changing, no job is safe and people wonder what will happen next. This is not new, as humans have been conquered, gone to war, and experienced plagues, depressions plus recessions. We live on Earth and apart from the adventurers who look beyond the stars, many take what they are given and accept what they are told. That is until an awakening throws us into a spin and blows out the cobwebs of a conditioned state of life.
‘Meditation opens the door to new thinking where we gain awareness and inspiring insight’
It’s no surprise that the awakening art of meditation has its origins in people of past ages who no doubt were motivated to find their meaning in life, as early as 1500 BCE This was under the guidance of Hinduism, an ancient religion that came to pass as far as we know in China and India The word Dhyana, across the board of religion translates generally to contemplation or meditation. This is the journey into the abyss of your psyche where the history of us hides, waiting to be found. The infamous image of Buddha in his classic meditative pose has inspired an audience of believers who know the beauty of this sacred art. The prince of peace Shakyamuni Buddha was born of royalty and wanted for nothing, yet left the palace one day to find his inner truth. His influence on the world is monumental as he started a movement of spiritual disciples, who felt akin to his journey. Today Buddhism is a religion of choice that explores a universal truth and how change manifests cause and effect. As humans, we have endless options and how we play those options can affect us and others we interact with. Harsh words produce a ripple effect as the receiver decides how to react. Everything we do has an impact and often consequences. Having a calm, receptive mind allows us to think before we engage.

‘Meditation stills the mind and teaches us to think before we act’
As you can see the benefits are plentiful. As we learn to breathe with purpose our health may improve, as well as our mental well-being. Meditating daily helps us to feel calmer, happier, and more in tune with an internal world where awareness expands. At first in subtle ways as I became aware my focus was entirely on the outside world. I relied entirely on the actions of others, including family, friends, peers, and world events as my mood monitor. My intuition was strong but I chose many a time to test its validity and in doing so, inspired a few lessons. Learning to meditate brought a depth of knowing to my life. I found that what goes on in the world is important for our survival but only part of the human theater. We have a choice not to believe in a life reflected through a news, or media lens or live by conditioning, passed on by our guardians. Negativity thrives on Planet Earth and sings a gloomy song, to all those willing to listen. There is no doubt bad things happen but taking a fatalistic view keeps us in a state of worry, stress, and even depression. Meditation shows us the light that burns brightly within you to connect with your true self or soul where the magic begins. Meditation is the promotion of peace and tranquility. This allows us to seek higher ground in the calm collective of our mind or soul. It is as though we enter a world within a world, where there are no secrets only the elusive truth.
‘In our meditative space, we see our evolution, our loves, our desires, dreams, and infinity’
We also feel a spirit of oneness that inspires deeper reflection of a world created by those who molded the landscape and people’s thoughts, to align with their own. These were the vanquishers of Earth who made choices for us in the form of leadership, governments, employers, and people we took at their word. Meditating strips us bare of our outside world and invites us to think beyond our conditioning and see behind the veil. There are many guided meditations to get you started and it is not so hard to do. It takes practice and the more you meditate the stronger your connection to a higher consciousness will be. This can help with earthly happenings like the pandemic and Aquarian Era of Light a future hope for peace on Planet Earth. This is a work in progress and an offering from our universal, consciousness of light. Meditation is a gateway to this high level of enlightenment You may wish to create a decor theme that enhances your desire to meditate or add pieces you like to a special meditative space in your home. What better way to meditate in comfort than with a highly decorative round pillow including insert and measuring approx. 32″ in diameter and around 5″ in thickness. The geometric mandala pattern speaks of our cosmic universe and resonates with meditation, art therapy, and prayer. The inner pillow is hard-wearing but soft memory foam.
